🤲 A Short Prayer For The Lukewarm 🤲

Let this prayer be a supplication to You O God!

May my thoughts continually be with You! Teach me to love Your commandments, and to love upholding Your Word through all the acts of my life!

I am lukewarm, O lord, and live as though without a soul, obsessed with material things. I worry constantly about possessing wordly trophies and the validation of others! I do not understand that I will die in but a short amount of time. And when I die, where will I go?

You illuminate my life, and remove all impurities from me, O God! Bless this prayer, and bless every thought I have! Take away all lustful desires from my heart, and shine a path for me towards my salvation. I reside in darkness and deceit, and require Your light to see my own sin!

Lord, you bless me a thousand times over for what little effort I put striving towards You! So eagerly do You assist me in everything when I ask for Your help! And Lord, my creator and my God, what am I without You? To depend on you is wisdom, and to supplicate You is my strength.

Be with me continually, O God, and do not forsake me!

Also, remember all who stand before You today, the holy and unholy, the poor and rich, the sick and healthy, the happy and unhappy. Lord, Your love pervades all. You leave no one empty-handed. You are the sustainer of all flesh, and it is You who breathes life into me with every breath.

Help me Lord! Help me Lord! Help me Lord in my struggle against evil, so that I may learn to shun it and despise it. For as Solomon writes: "fear of the Lord is hatred of evil." (Proverbs 8:13) To fear You O Lord is wisdom, and the greatest of the commandments, for this will guide all the thoughts I think, every act I commit, everything I hear, every place I go, and every word I say!
